Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and guidelines for using the Dryade platform. All users, including publishers and subscribers, must comply with this policy. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

1. Overview

Dryade is committed to providing a safe, secure, and trustworthy marketplace for plugins and extensions. This policy exists to protect all users and maintain the integrity of our platform.

By using Dryade, you agree to use the platform responsibly and in accordance with these guidelines. This policy supplements our Terms of Service and should be read in conjunction with them.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not publish, upload, or distribute content that:

2.1 Harmful or Malicious

  • Contains malware, viruses, trojans, or other malicious code.
  • Contains spyware, keyloggers, or unauthorized data collection mechanisms.
  • Exploits security vulnerabilities in the platform or user systems.
  • Performs cryptomining without explicit user consent.
  • Causes damage to users' devices, data, or systems.

2.2 Illegal or Harmful

  • Violates any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, patent).
  • Contains or promotes violence, terrorism, or self-harm.
  • Contains child exploitation material or endangers minors.
  • Promotes illegal activities, including drug trafficking or money laundering.

2.3 Deceptive or Fraudulent

  • Impersonates other publishers, companies, or individuals.
  • Contains misleading claims about functionality or capabilities.
  • Uses deceptive practices to trick users into purchases.
  • Artificially inflates download counts, ratings, or reviews.
  • Engages in bait-and-switch tactics.

2.4 Offensive or Inappropriate

  • Contains hate speech, discrimination, or harassment.
  • Contains explicit sexual content.
  • Contains graphic violence or gore.
  • Promotes intolerance based on race, gender, religion, or other characteristics.

3. Prohibited Activities

Users may not engage in the following activities:

3.1 Account Abuse

  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or limitations.
  • Sharing account credentials with unauthorized parties.
  • Selling, transferring, or renting accounts without authorization.
  • Using stolen or fraudulent payment methods.

3.2 Platform Abuse

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the platform or user accounts.
  • Interfering with the proper functioning of the platform.
  • Using automated tools to scrape content without permission.
  • Overloading the platform with excessive requests (DoS attacks).
  • Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them.

3.3 Spam and Abuse

  • Sending unsolicited messages or advertisements.
  • Posting irrelevant or duplicate content.
  • Manipulating search rankings or discovery algorithms.
  • Creating fake reviews or ratings.
  • Mass-following or mass-unfollowing to gain visibility.

4. Security Rules

All plugins and code must adhere to these security requirements:

  • No collection of user data without explicit consent and disclosure.
  • No transmission of data to external servers without user knowledge.
  • No storage of passwords or sensitive data in plain text.
  • No exploitation of platform or operating system vulnerabilities.
  • All network requests must be encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Third-party libraries must be from reputable sources and kept updated.

5. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates this policy, please report it immediately:

Please include as much detail as possible, including URLs, screenshots, and a description of the violation. All reports are handled confidentially.

6. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity:

  • Warning: A formal notice for minor or first-time violations.
  • Content removal: Removal of the offending plugin or content.
  • Temporary suspension: Suspension of publishing or platform access.
  • Permanent ban: Permanent termination of account and publishing privileges.
  • Legal action: Reporting to law enforcement for criminal violations.

We reserve the right to take action at our sole discretion. Users may appeal enforcement decisions by contacting appeals@dryade.ai.

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to users via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
